Context
The organization of events in person or online promotes and supports the Polkadot brand. These meetups are necessary to create awareness of the brand, create local communities and above all educate about the technology and ecosystem.
This bounty aims to reward and fund events hosted by community members in the Polkadot ecosystem.

Event Type (1)
Definitions
Extraordinary Events:
- Need further support especially to cover costs in advance of the event.
- Examples of online/offline events: Hackathons; 1-4 day summit; Conferences as well as travel costs to conferences; social events/side events around bigger events.
- Shall have proper preparation including flyer creation, advertising through social media channels, invitations/sign-up possibilities.
- Shall have proper post preparation such as follow-ups to speakers/organizers with thank you messages, feedback requests from attendees, promotion on social media about highlights of the event.
- The correct Polkadot and Kusama brand assets must be used.
- Attendees know what to expect from the event with a properly laid out event content and detailed agenda.
- The event must promote unique content.
- Child-bounties proposed for such event types can cover following costs: logistics, venue, marketing (including website, articles, swag, prints), travel, hackathon prizes, actors/artists, food & drinks.
Key Industry Auxiliary Events**:**
- Extraordinary events or Meetups occurring alongside key blockchain industry events (such as ETHDenver and Coindesk Consensus) that have been identified by the curator set as important and are specifically called for side-events, hackathons, mini-conferences or other.
- A specific call will be made for these events with a stylized Typeform provided for proposal submissions
Meetups:
- 1-3 hours event focusing primarly on Polkadot content.
- content on a parachain or an ecosystem team can be added
- technical, educational and/or informative.
- Targets a specific goal to create an impact in your community.
- The goal is to create a local Polkadot follower community through events series.
- For offline events, funding is capped at 2,500 USD or no more than 30 USD per participant.
- Costs should be used for venue, drinks and food (maybe AV and swag if needed).
